Avery's Newborn Session [Whitby Newborn Photography - Durham Region Photographer]

This family is so adorable! I love that mom wanted a slightly more casual approach to capturing the family portion of their session, which resulted in a new favourite set up I might just do more often! Older siblings that are toddler/preschool aged are not always super willing to lay down and pose with their newborn sibling. This somewhat candid style of having everyone interact with baby was a great way to get big brother warmed up to the idea of posing with his new baby sister.

It’s been another busy year for baby boys in the studio, so I was very much looking forward to having Avery visit me. It’s only the second baby girl I’ve photographed this year, and I enjoyed being able to use some new headbands and backdrops I’ve collected over the past few months!
